  1. 1 pound white fish, cut into 2-inch pieces a combination of

  2. 4 or more of your choosing:

  3. 1/2 pound clams

  4. 1/2 pound crab

  5. 1/2 pound lobster

  6. 1/2 pound scallops

  7. 1/2 pound mussels

  8. 1/2 pound shrimp

  9. 1/2 pound baby octopus

  10. 1/4 cup olive oil

  11. 3 onions, chopped

  12. 2 garlic cloves, pressed

  13. 2 pounds canned peeled tomatoes, including liquid

  14. 1 cup mushrooms, chopped

  15. 4 celery stalks, chopped

  16. 2 teaspoons salt

  17. 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  18. 1 bay leaf

  19. 1/2 cup red wine water

  1. Prepare fish and your choice of shellfish by cleaning and cutting into bite-size pieces. Heat the olive oil in a large pot. Saut onions and garlic on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, except fish and seafood and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Cook for one hour. Add fish and octopus if using and cook 10 minutes. Add shellfish and simmer 4 minutes more. Serve hot with crusty bread and crisp salad
