  1. 2 lb Top round steak;

  2. 2" cubes

  3. 2 tb Butter (or marg.); melted

  4. 3 tb All-purpose flour

  5. 1/2 c Dry sherry

  6. 5 sl Bacon

  7. 24 sm Onions; peeled; about 1 lb.

  8. 1 lb Mushrooms; small, fresh

  9. 3/4 c Consomme; undiluted

  10. 1/4 c Water

  11. 1 c Burgundy

  12. 2 tb Tomato paste

  13. 2 Bay leaves

  14. 1-1/2 hours. Add mushrooms; cover and simmer an additional

  15. 30 minutes.
