  1. 3/4 cup 148g / 5 1/5oz Margarine

  2. 3/4 cup 120g / 4 1/5oz Brown sugar

  3. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Whole-wheat flour

  4. 1/4 cup 59ml Wheat germ

  5. 1 1/2 cups 93g / 3 1/3oz Rolled oats

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cinnamon

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Nutmeg

  8. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  9. 3/4 cup 148g / 5 1/5oz Apple butter

  10. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Raisins

  1. In a medium bowl, cream margarine and brown sugar. In a second bowl, stir together flour, wheat germ, rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Add to creamed mixture and stir just to combine.

  2. In a greased 9- by 9-inch pan, spread the batter. Cover with a layer of apple butter and sprinkle with raisins. Top with remaining batter. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into 12 bars.
