  1. 3 pounds beef for stew, cubed

  2. 1 cup water

  3. 1 cup red wine

  4. 1 small envelope beef-mushroom soup mix

  5. 2 cups potatoes, diced

  6. 1 cup carrots, sliced

  7. 10 ounces frozen peas and onions

  1. Instructions Place the cubed beef in a slow cooker. Pour the water and red wine on top of the beef. Stir in the soup mix, potatoes, carrots, and frozen vegetables. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beef is cooked through.
