  1. 6 oz finely chopped pork

  2. 2 tsp finely chopped bamboo shoots

  3. 2 tsp finely chopped water chestnut

  4. 1 pinch salt

  5. 1 pinch sugar

  6. 1 1/2 tsp lightly beaten egg

  7. 1 tbsp self raising flour vegetable oil for deep frying

  1. Preparation (instructions) Mix well pork, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, salt, sugar, egg, flour and roll into balls. To make the batter, mix flour and water. Heat oil until hot in a saucepan. Coat meatballs in batter mixture and drop into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown. Remove from heat and drain on kitchen paper towel. Serve warm.
