  2. 1 cup granulated sugar

  3. 1/2 cup butter

  4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  5. 1 teaspoon salt

  6. 2 eggs

  7. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  8. 1 tablespoon baking powder

  9. 2/3 cup root beer

  10. Root beer frosting :

  11. 1 package Pillsbury vanilla frosting mix

  12. 1 cup cold root beer

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl.

  2. Blend at low speed, then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

  3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 12 x 8 inch pan.

  4. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes.

  5. Cool, frost and store in the refrigerator.

  6. Combine frosting mix and root beer in mixer bowl. Blend well.

  7. Beat until thick and fluffy, 4 to 5 minutes.
