  1. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Soft butter

  2. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Confectioners sugar

  3. 1 Egg

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  5. 1/2 cup 31g / 1.1oz Flour

  6. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Pecan halves

  7. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Red candied cherries (halved)

  8. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Green candied cherries (halved)

  1. Cream the butter and sugar, blend in the unbeaten egg and the vanilla. Add the flour, mix well. Stir in the cherries and nuts, chill slightly. Divide the dough into thirds, form each third into a roll about 10 inches long. Chill for at least three hours.

  2. Baking: Cut the rolls into slices about 1/8 inch thick. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or until a very delicate brown colour.
