  1. 100g/4oz Butter

  2. 2 Garlic

  3. cloves crushed or finely minced

  4. 1 tbsp Freshly chopped Parsley

  5. 1 long French

  1. Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas mark 6. In a bowl, mix together thebutter, garlic and parsley until well incorporated.

  2. Slice theloaf in half lengthways and spread the cut sides thickly with three quarters of the garlic butter. Sandwich together andcut into 4 equal portions.

  3. Place on apiece of foil large enough to wrap the portions then spread the remaininggarlic butter on the outsides of the loaf (or melt thegarlic butter and brush on with a pastry brush). Wrap tightly in the foiland bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove the foil andcontinue to bake the garlic bread for a further 5 minutes until crisped. Serve hot.
