  4. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  5. 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  6. 1 tablespoon chopped red onion

  7. 1 tablespoon honey

  8. 1/2 cup olive oil

  9. salt -- to taste

  10. freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste

  1. Combine the basil leaves, vinegar, lime juice, garlic, onion, and honey in a blender and puree. With the motor running slowly add the oil until emulsified. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. May be prepared up to 1 day ahead and refrigerated. Bring up to room temperature before serving.
