  1. 1 1/2c Navy beans (soak overnight)

  2. 3/4lb White cabbage

  3. 2 lb Pork belly

  4. 6 Celery ribs, chopped

  5. 3/4lb Carrots, peeled and chopped

  7. 4 Garlic cloves, peeled and -chopped

  8. 3/4lb Turnips, peeled and cubed

  9. 1 lb Potatoes, peeled and cubed

  10. 2 1/2c Chicken stock

  11. 1/2ts Dried thyme or 1 tsp chopped -fresh

  12. 1/2ts Dried marjorum or 1 tsp -chopped fresh

  13. 2 Bay leaves Salt and Pepper

  14. 1/2lb Hot pepperoni or other thin -spicy sausage, cooked, -sliced and 1/2lb Hot pepperoni or other thin -spicy sausage, cooked, -sliced and skinned.

  1. + Directions : Cook beans, unsalted, until tender. Drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Shred cabbace. Place pork in large casserole and surround with the beans and all the vegetables. Pour the stock over. Add the herbs and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook in oven for 1 hour. Remove the dish and add the pepperoni, cover again and return it to the oven for 20-30 minutes. Remove the meat, slice it, transfer to warm serving dish. Surround with vegetables and serve.
