Ingredients Jump to Instructions ↓

  1. 1 pk Kraft Caramel s (they now make uncovered ones, little caramel balls, no unwrapping necessary, but they don't melt as well, in my opinion)

  2. 1/3 c Flour

  3. 3 c Chopped Jonathan or Rome red

  4. apple s, UNPEELED

  5. 2/3 c Smuckers caramel ice cream topping

  6. 2 tsps Lemon juice

  7. 1 (9 inch) Pet Ritz pie crust (I use deep dish) or ready-made refrigerated rolled double crusts.

  8. 1/2 c pecan pieces

  1. Combine 10 caramel cubes, each cut into 4 pieces, and flour. If using the small caramel “balls” by Kraft, I use about a cup, more or less.

  2. Add washed, dried and chopped Jonathan or Rome apples, caramel ice cream topping, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. Pour mixture into a frozen, regular 9" Pet Ritz pie crust and sprinkle with pecan pieces. Bake at 375 degrees on a preheated baking sheet for 40-45 minutes. Store at room temperature. Microwave at 15 seconds or so makes the caramel warm and oozy. Yum!
