  1. 1 gallon cabbage (chopped) 1/2 gallon tomato (green, chopped) 3 quarts onions (chopped) 3 bell peppers (green, chopped) 3 bell peppers (red, chopped) 4 tablespoons mustard seeds 4 tablespoons ginger (ground) 2 tablespoons salt 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 tablespoon turmeric 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1/2 gallon vinegar 4 lbs sugar (white)

  1. Mix sugar with vinegar and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.

  2. Add spices and remaining ingredients.

  3. Boil 20-30 minutes (until vegetables are tender).

  4. Seal in sterile glass jars.

  5. Makes 7-8 quarts or 16 pints. ?
