  1. Cheesecake Batter:

  2. 224 g package cream cheese, softened

  3. 1/3 cup sugar

  4. 3/4 tsp. finely grated orange peel

  5. 1 large egg

  6. 1 tbsp. all purpose flour

  7. Brownie Batter:

  8. 6 tbsp. butter, diced

  9. 56 g chopped unsweetened chocolate

  10. 56 g chopped bittersweet chocolate

  11. 1 cup sugar

  12. 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  13. 2 large eggs

  14. 2/3 cup all purpose flour

  15. 1/2 tsp. salt

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9 inch square baking pan.

  2. For Cheesecake Batter:

  3. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and orange peel in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in egg and flour until well blended.

  4. For Brownie Batter:

  5. Combine butter and both chocolates in a medium saucepan, stirring over low heat until smooth. Cool chocolate mixture 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in flour and salt until combined.

  6. Spread brownie batter in the prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake batter and swirl with the tip of a knife. Bake brownies about 50 minutes until cheesecake batter is pale golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Transfer brownies to a rack and cool completely before cutting into bars.
