  1. 1 1/2 cup Walnuts, shelled

  2. 1/2 cup Dry Apples

  3. 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  4. 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  5. 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  6. 1/2 cup Firmly packed LightBrown sugar

  7. 1/2 cup Dried Apricots

  8. 6 cups Oatmeal, quick cooking

  9. 3/4 cup Unsalted Butter

  10. 1/2 cup Honey

  1. Place nuts and dried fruit in a food processor and chop finely. Place in a large bowl and add the oatmeal. In a sauce pan, combine honey, sugar, butter and cinnamon, bring to a boil for 1 minute. Stir into the oatmeal mixture with the vanilla and salt. Press evenly and firmly in a 10x15 jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes in a preheated 350oF oven until golden. DO NOT OVERBAKE Cool and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container or refrigerate. Submitted By BARRY WEINSTEIN On 04-09-95
