    2. 1 small lemon, juice and grated yellow part of the rind

    3. 1/2 cup sugar

    4. 1/4 cup flour

    5. 1 egg yolk

    6. 1 2/3 cups hot water

    7. 1 tablespoon butter substitute

    8. A few grains salt

    1. Mix the sugar and flour; stir into it the lemon juice and rind and the egg yolk.

    2. Then stir the hot water into this mixture.

    3. Cook in a double boiler till it thickens.

    4. Add the butter substitute and salt.
