  9. 1 bottom round roast

  10. 1/2 cup water

  11. salt and pepper

  12. For Italain Beef Sandwiches:

  13. 2 cups beef bouillon -- OR:

  14. 1 can consomme

  15. dripping from cooking roast

  16. 2 tablespoons olive oil

  17. 3 dashes oregano

  18. 2 to 3 green peppers -- in chunks

  19. 1 package frozen sliced roast beef -- thawed

  20. 550 for 15 minutes then

  21. 450 for 15 minutes and then turn heat down again to

  22. for 15 minutes or more. Remove from oven when meat thermometer reads RARE.

  23. Drain meat juice and reserve. Refrigerate meat overnight. Slice very thin.

  24. Slice and use for sandwiches below or package for freezer and use in Italian

  25. beef sandwiches, French dip sandwiches or other uses.

  26. Italian Beef Sandwiches:

  27. In a saucepan add bouillon, consomme or canned bouilon to pan drippings and 2

  28. T. olive oil. Sprinkle with oregano. Cut up green peppers. Add to gravy and cook until tender. Add freshly carved or frozen (thawed) sliced beef. Serve
