  1. INGREDIENTS:

  2. 1 cup channa dal

  3. 1/2 cup moong dal

  4. 1/2 cup masoor dal

  5. 1/4 cup urad dal

  6. 1/4 cup tur dal

  7. corriender seeds 2tbsp

  8. cummin seeds 2tbsp

  9. half inch ginger

  10. 5 to 6 cloves of garlic

  11. corriender leaves or fresh spinach chopped 1/2 cup

  12. 3-4 hot medium sized green chillies

  13. salt to taste

  14. a pinch of baking soda

  15. oil for deep frying

  16. DIRECTIONS:

  17. Mix and wash all the dals together.

  18. Add water(dal: water

  19. 1:5)

  20. Add little salt and turmeric and let it cook. Usually takes abt 30-35 mnts.

  21. Test and see if Chana dal is done. That's when u know that the dal is done.

  22. Add Dhania powder and chilli powder and churn it very well.

  23. Reduce the flame in which u are cooking the dal.

  24. Heat some ghee in a small kadai and when it is hot, add jeera and hing.

  25. Put it in the dal.

  26. Sprinkle freshly cut coriander leaves
