  1. 8 baked pie shell

  2. 1/2 c. butter

  3. 3/4 c. sugar

  4. 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted

  5. 1 tsp. vanilla

  6. 2 eggs

  7. Heavy cream, whipped

  8. Walnuts or chocolate shavings

  1. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar in mixer. Blend in melted chocolate when it is fairly cool. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes at medium speed after each egg. Turn into cooled, baked pie shell. Chill at least 2 hours before serving. Cover with whipped cream and either chopped walnuts or chopped shavings before serving.
