  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Ground beef

  2. 1/3 cup 48g / 1.7oz Fresh bread crumbs

  3. 1/8 cup 29ml Milk

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Pepper

  6. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Flour

  7. 3 tablespoons 45ml Butter

  8. 3 tablespoons 45ml Sour cream

  9. 3 tablespoons 45ml Consomme

  1. Recipe Instructions Soak crumbs in milk. Squeeze crumbs to remove excess milk. In bowl, combine moistened crumbs, ground beef, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Form mixture into 6 flat patties. Dredge with flour. In large skillet, heat butter. Add meat patties and cook for 5 minutes on each side. Remove meat to heated serving dish and keep warm. Pour fat off skillet. Add sour cream and consomme and cook for 2 minutes. Correct seasoning. Bring to boil, stirring constantly and scraping bottom of skillet until brown crust is dissolved. Pour over meat. Serve hot.
