  1. Mock Mince Pie

  2. dough for a 10-inch piecrust

  3. 1/2 cup raisins

  4. 4 medium apples

  5. 1/2 cup apple juice

  6. 1 orange

  7. 3/4 cup brown sugar

  8. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  9. 1/2 teaspoon cloves

  10. 1/2 teaspoon brandy extract

  11. Pare and slice apples, chop raisins, and mix with apple juice.

  12. Scrub the orange well, juice it, and grate the peel. Add juice

  13. and peel to the apple mixture. Simmer together in a covered pan

  14. until the apples are very soft. Stir in the sugar, cinnamon,

  15. cloves, and brandy extract This mixture will keep in the fridge

  16. for several days.

  17. 450 F. Line a

  18. 9 inch pie pan with crust, and reserve the extra dough for a lattice top crust. Reheat the filling

  19. and pour it into crust while hot. Cover with lattice.

  20. 30 minutes. Makes one 9-inch pie.
