  1. 2 pt water

  2. 2 peeled and sliced garlic cloves

  3. 1 peeled and sliced onion

  4. 3 1/2 tbsp pounded dried shrimps

  5. 1/4 tsp shrimp paste

  6. 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce

  7. salt to taste

  8. 2 oz fresh green leaves (watercress, spinach, cabbage or mustard leaves)

  1. Add water, garlic and onion in a saucepan and bring to boil.

  2. Reduce heat and stir in remaining ingredients.

  3. Bring to boil for about 6 minutes.

  4. Serve hot with steamed fragrant rice.
