  1. Poached Chicken and Broth for Crock Pot

  2. 3 pounds chicken breast halves

  3. 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced

  4. 3 ribs celery, sliced

  5. 1 medium onion, chopped

  6. 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

  7. 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules

  8. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  9. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  10. 3 cups water

  11. Remove skin and excess fat from chicken, set aside.

  12. Layer in a slow cooker in order of ingredients. DO NOT STIR.

  13. 2 1/2 to 3 hours or on low for 5-6 hours or until chicken is tender.

  14. Uncover and cool chicken in broth at room temperature, about 1

  15. hour.
