  1. 2 lbs beef roast (any cut will work, whatever is on sale)

  2. 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can French onion soup

  3. 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

  4. 3/4 cup dry red wine

  5. 6 ounces fresh mushrooms , sliced

  1. Put all the ingredients into the crock pot and set on low for 8-10 hours .

  2. The soup and juice make a great base for a gravy with the addition of some flour (adding a juice to a quarter cup of flour until the correct consistency is reached).
