  1. 2 1/4 cup All-purpose flour

  2. 3/4 cup Firmly packed brown sugar

  3. 12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  4. 1 cup butter (2 sticks)

  5. 1 cup Coarsely chopped nuts (opt)

  6. 1/2 tsp Salt

  7. 2 Eggs

  8. 1 tsp Baking soda

  9. 1 tsp Vanilla

  10. 3/4 cup Granulated sugar

  1. Mix flour with baking soda and salt; set aside.

  2. Beat butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.

  3. Blend in flour mixture.

  4. Stir in nuts and chips.

  5. Drop from teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.

  6. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Makes about 6 dozen.
