  1. ONION RINGS

  2. 3 medium onions

  3. 1 1/3 cups flour

  4. 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

  5. 1 Tbsp parsley flakes

  6. 1 tsp salt

  7. dash pepper

  8. 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  9. 1 Tbsp salad oil

  10. 2 eggs, separated

  11. 1 1/4 cups flat beer (let stand 1 hour)

  12. 3/8- to 1/2-inch thick. Separate into rings and set aside. Beat together flour, Parmesan cheese, parsley

  13. flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, salad oil, and beer. Beat egg

  14. whites until stiff and fold into beer batter. Dip onion rings in

  15. batter. Fry in hot oil until golden (about five minutes). Drain on

  16. paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.
