  1. Recipe ingredients:

  2. 1 cup besan

  3. 1 cup shortening

  4. 1 cup sugar

  5. 4 seeds cardamom nuts, optional

  6. Recipe method:

  7. Melt shortening in a pan.

  8. Turn down heat and add cardamom and Besan.

  9. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning until it has changed to a brown color and smells.

  10. Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it sputters instantly.

  11. Turn off the heat and stir in the sugar.

  12. Spread 1/2 inch thick onto a platter.

  13. Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
