  1. 3/4 lb. mushrooms, finely sliced

  2. 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, diced

  3. 1 medium sized onion, peeled and chopped

  4. 2 oz. butter

  5. 3 tablespoon s flour

  6. 1 cup milk

  7. 1/2 cup cream

  8. salt and pepper

  9. 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

  10. French bread for serving or curried bread cubes

  1. Melt butter in fondue pot and gently fry mushrooms and onion for 10 minutes. Sprinkle in flour and add milk. Bring to a boil, stirring, until thickened. Cook for 2 minutes. Add cheese, stir over a low heat until melted. Stir in cram, add seasonings to taste.

  2. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  3. Serve with French bread cut into 1-inch cubes.

  4. Curried Bread Cubes:

  5. 3/4 inch bread cubes 2 oz. butter 2 tablespoons oil 4 teaspoons curry powder Heat butter and oil together in frying pan, stir in curry powder. Fry bread cubes until golden brown and crisp. Drain well before serving.
