  1. 1 12 oz loaf of stale French Bread

  2. 1 quart milk

  3. 1/2 c sugar

  4. 2 T amaretto

  5. 1 c golden raisin s

  6. 2 T vanilla

  7. 6 egg s

  8. 1 batch amaretto sauce

  9. 1 stick butter

  10. 1 c powdered sugar

  11. 1/4 c amaretto

  1. Pudding: Heat oven to 375. Soak bread in milk. Add sugar, raisins. Add eggs. Mix lightly. Pour into well buttered 9x13 baking dish. Bake 30-45 minutes. Remove from oven. Poke holes with wood spoon. Pour hot amaretto sause over to penetrate and glaze. Sauce: In small sauce pan melt butter over low heat. Add sugar, stirring constantly. Whisk in amaretto and heat slowly for one or two minutes.
