  1. 6 pound beef brisket

  2. 1 teas. ground black pepper

  3. 1 envelope dry onion soup mix

  4. 1 c. water

  5. 2 cans(16 oz. each) whole berry cranberry sauce

  6. 2 large onions, sliced

  7. 2 pounds whole baby carrots, green tops

  1. Heat oven to 350^. Season the beef with the pepper. Stir the soup mix, water and cranberry sauce in a medium bowl. Place the beef into a 6-quart Dutch oven. Top with the onion. Bake 15 minutes.Add the carrots to the pot. Pour the soup mixture over all. Cover. Bake 2 hours or until the beef is fork tender. Serve the gravy and carrots with the beef.
