  1. 2 pounds ground beef

  2. 1 medium onion , finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)

  3. 2 cans (15 oz. each) tomato sauce

  4. 2 cans (12 oz. each) tomato paste

  5. 1 can (7 1/2 oz.) pitted ripe olive s, drained and sliced

  6. 2 envelopes (1 1/2 oz. each) Italian-style spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms

  7. 3 cups water

  8. 1 tablespoon sugar

  9. 1 teaspoon oregano leaves

  10. 2 cloves garlic , crushed

  11. 1/2 teaspoon basil

  12. 1 teaspoon salt

  13. 16 oz. Italian-style spaghetti

  14. Grated Parmesan cheese

  1. Cook and stir ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese. Cover; simmer 1½ hours, stirring sauce occasionally.

  2. Cook spaghetti as directed on package. Serve meat sauce over hot spaghetti; pass Parmesan cheese
