  1. 1 1/2 cups butter, softened

  2. 1-8 ounce pkg cream cheese, softened

  3. 3 cups sugar

  4. 6 large eggs

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  6. 3 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  8. 2 minutes or until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating

  9. 5 to 7 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears. Add vanilla, mixing well.

  10. 10" tube pan.**I used

  11. 2 different sized springform pans, and layered the bottom with sliced peaches, then covered that with peach jam, then poured in batter.

  12. Fill a 2-cup, ovenproof measuring cup with water; place in oven with tube pan.

  13. 300 F for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack

  14. 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
