  1. 1 cup potatoes -- diced

  2. 1/4 cup onion -- diced

  3. 1/2 cup celery -- diced

  4. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  6. 2 cups water

  7. 3 tablespoons butter, -- melted

  8. 1 1/2 tablespoons flour

  9. 2 cups milk

  10. 1 cup ham -- diced

  11. Combine first six ingredients. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Combine flour and melted butter. Add butter, milk and diced ham to vegetables. Heat just to boiling. Let set a couple of hours to allow flavors to blend.
