  1. Hard margarine (or butter), 1 cup

  2. softened Brown sugar, packed 1 1/3 cups

  3. Large eggs 2

  4. Vanilla 1/2 tsp.

  5. All-purpose flour 3 3 1/4 cups

  6. Baking soda 1 1/4 tsp.

  7. Ground cinnamon 3/4 tsp.

  8. Salt 1/4 tsp.

  9. Chopped almonds 1/3 cup

  10. Cream margarine and brown sugar together in large bowl. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Mix.

  11. 5 ingredients. Form into 2 rolls,

  12. 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Slice

  13. 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in

  14. 375 F (190 C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes until browned. Makes

  15. 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
