  1. 1 cup butter

  2. 1 15 oz can sweetened condensed milk

  3. 2 pounds plus one cup confectioners' sugar

  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla additions for dough -- (use as desired)

  5. 1/2 teaspoon desired flavoring flaked coconut peanut butter chopped nuts chopped candied fruit or raisins etc.

  6. 24 ounces semi-sweet chocolate baking chips plus -- one

  7. 3 ounces cake of paraffin or 24 ounces melting chocolate in which

  8. 1 case paraffin should be omitted.

  1. Preparation : Mix butter and milk. With spoon or hands, work in sugar and vanilla. Divide dough into 4 portions. Flavor and add desired ingredients. Chill. Form dough into balls or roll into logs. Chill again. In the top of a double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate chips with paraffin (or melt the melting chocolate). Stir well. With a skewer, dip balls into chocolate mixture. Let drip, then place on waxed paper to harden. Decorate if desired. Chill. Makes 200 pieces of candy.
