  1. 4 cups unsifted whole wheat flour

  2. 2 cups unsifted white flour

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. 2 teaspoons salt

  5. 1 quart buttermilk

  6. 2 teaspoons baking soda

  1. Combine flours, sugar, and salt. Combine buttermilk and baking soda. Mix dry with wet ingredients. Pour into 2 greased load pans. Bake for 55 minutes at 350.
