  1. 2 cups 292g / 10oz Chopped California dried figs

  2. 1 Apple - peeled and diced

  3. 1 Lemon - sliced paper-thin

  4. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Brown sugar

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Molasses

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Vinegar

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground cloves

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground ginger

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground cinnamon

  1. In large sauce pan, combine dried figs and apple. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered 30 minutes. Makes about 4 cups. Serve as an accompaniment to pork, lamb, or chicken.
