  1. 2 cups of rice

  2. 1/2 pound beef /lamb/ chicken

  3. 4-5 big carrots

  4. 2 middle sized onions

  5. 1 teaspoonful salt

  6. 1/2 teaspoonful black ground pepper

  7. 1 teaspoonful cumin (zeereh - in Persian)

  8. 1/4 cup of cooking oil (any)

  1. Shallow fry the meat. Add onions.

  2. Wait 10 min. Add thinly chopped carrots (don't stir).

  3. Wait 10-15 min. Rince the rice well and spread it evenly on the carrots (we're making layers).

  4. Pour boiling water just eanough to cover the rice a little bit.

  5. Wait for the water to go almost completely.

  6. Cover tightly. Bring the fire down to minimum possible.

  7. Wait for 15-20 mins.

  8. Done.

  9. Serving suggestion: put some pomegranade kernels on the ready plov. Enjoy!
