  1. German Red Wine Cookies

  2. 3 3/4 c (500 g) flour

  3. 1 tbs. (250 g) butter

  4. 1 c plus

  5. 3 tbs. (250 g) sugar

  6. 2 tbs. ground cinnamon (16 g)

  7. 8 to 9 tbs. red wine

  8. Cream butter and sugar, add cinnamon and red wine, at last add the

  9. flour and kneed all well together. Let the dough rest for 1 hour

  10. in the fridge. Roll out the dough rather thin and cut out with

  11. cutters of various shapes. (Here in Germany we use cutters like

  12. hearts, stars, all kind of animals and of course round ones too).

  13. Line sheets with baking paper and bake the cookies at 325 F for about 12 - 15 minutes.
