  6. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  7. 1 1/4 cup sugar

  8. 1/2 cup shortening

  9. 3 unbeaten eggs

  10. 1 cup buttermilk

  11. 9" layer pans well greased adn flouredBake at

  12. 375 for 25-30min. Cool. Spread filling between layers and on top within

  13. 1/2 inch of edge. Frost sides w/ Seafoam frostingor whipped cream

  1. Butterscotch filling 1/2 cup sugar 1 Tablespoon cornstarch 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1/3 water 1/3 butterscotch morsels 1 beaten egg yolk 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup coconut 1 cup chopped nuts Mix forst 6 ingredients together in saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat; add butter, coconut and nuts. Cool.

  2. Sea foam frosting 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup water 1 egg white 1/4 teaspoon cream or tartar 1 Tablespoon corn syrup Cook until a little syrup dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (aroung 236). Beat egg white with cream of tarter until stiff peaks form. Add syrup to beaten egg white in slow stream, beating until thick.
