  1. 1 (1/4-ounce) package active dry yeast or 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  2. 2 cups warm water

  3. 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter, melted

  4. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  5. 1 large egg

  6. 4 cups self-rising flour

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water; add other ingredients and stir.

  3. Spoon into greased muffin tins.

  4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. Dough may be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
