  1. 2 Unflavored gelatin

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Cornstarch

  3. 1 cup 237ml Grated apple

  4. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Sugar

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Lemon juice

  6. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Finely chopped Oregon hazelnuts

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla extract

  8. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Confectioners' sugar

  1. Recipe Instructions Soften gelatin using package directions. Combine 1/2 of the apple with gelatin in bowl. Let stand 10 minutes. Combine remaining 1/2 cup apple, sugar and lemon juice in large saucepan; mix well. Stir in gelatin-apple mixture. Bring to a boil. Simmer 15 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Add hazelnuts and vanilla; mix well. Pour into greased 8 x 8" pan. Let stand for 24 hours. Cut into squares. Roll in mixture of confectioners' sugar and cornstarch.
