  1. 1 package angel food cake mix

  2. 1/2 cup cornstarch

  3. 1 quart commercially prepared eggnog

  4. 1 cup granulated sugar

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 2 packages non-dairy topping mix (dry)

  7. 1/8 teaspoon red food coloring

  8. 1/8 teaspoon green food coloring

  1. Prepare the angel food cake according to package directions.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine cornstarch and a small amount from 1 quart eggnog, mixing until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, and the rest of the eggnog. Pour into a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly (about 20 to 30 minutes, or until a spoon can almost stand in the mixture). Remove from stove and let cool for about 20 minutes.

  3. Divide angel food cake into 3 layers and frost with eggnog mixture. Prepare non-dairy topping mix (dry) according to package directions.

  4. Divide and mix in red food coloring or green food coloring. Spread alternately on the sides and top.
