  2. 4 ounces toasted hazelnuts, chopped

  3. 1 pound strawberries with stems (about 20), thoroughly washed and dried

Instructions Jump to Ingredients ↑

  1. Place the chopped semisweet chocolate into a medium size, heatproof bowl. Fill medium saucepan with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  2. Once the water is at a simmer, shut off the heat and place the bowl of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth.

  3. *As an alternative, melt the chocolate in a microwave at half power, for 1 minute, stir and then heat for another minute or until the chocolate is smooth and melted.

  4. Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from the heat. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or waxed paper.

  5. Place toasted hazel nuts in a medium size bowl.

  6. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the dark chocolate, and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl.

  7. Place the chocolate dipped strawberry into the bowl of hazelnuts, coating the chocolate surfaces.

  8. Set the strawberries on the parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries.

  9. Set the strawberries aside until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes.
