  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Toor Dal - (washed and soaked)

  2. 1 teaspoon 5ml Coriander Leaves - (finely chopped)

  3. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Cumin Seeds

  4. 2 Asafoetida

  5. 1 Curry Leaves - (finely chopped)

  6. 2 Turmeric Powder - (2 to 3) Salt - to taste

  7. 1 Hot steamed rice

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ghee

  1. Recipe Instructions Pressure cook washed dal in 2 cups water. (Approx.

  2. whistles) Beat dal with hand beater till smooth and frothy. Heat ghee, add seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Add turmeric and dal. Add remaining ingredients. Boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with steamed hot rice. Making time: 10 minutes (excl. pressuring cooking) Makes: 1 cup / 1 serving Best in: ailments like fever, ulcers and acidity. Very wholesome and filling.
