  1. 1 kg (2 lb) ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped

  2. 1 onion, chopped

  3. 1 garlic clove, minced

  4. 40 g (1.4 oz) butter

  5. 50 g (1.7 oz) black olives

  6. 2-3 sprigs thyme olive oil salt, pepper

  7. 1 anchovie filet, chopped

  8. 2 chillies

  9. 2 Tbs capers

  1. Saute onion in butter until softened. Add tomatoes, garlic, thyme and other ingredients. Cook over low heat, uncovered, until sauce is thick. Season with salt, pepper.
