  1. Pilze In Sahnesosse (Mushrooms In Cream Sauce)

  3. 2 lb fresh mushrooms

  4. 1/4 lb bacon, Diced

  5. 1/4 c butter Or Margarine

  6. 2 onions, diced

  7. 1 c white wine

  8. 1/2 t salt

  9. 1/4 t pepper

  10. 1/4 t paprika

  11. pinch nutmeg

  12. pinch mace

  13. 1 c cream

  14. 1/2 lemon

  15. 2 parsley sprigs

  16. Clean mushrooms and slice in half if large. Pat dry. Fry bacon

  17. in a large pan until lightly browned. Remove from pan and reserve.

  18. Add the butter to the pan drippings. Add onions, saute until

  19. lightly browned. Add mushrooms, cook until tender, stirring often.

  20. Stir in wine, salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg, and mace. Cover frypan

  21. and cook over low heat 15 minutes. Off the heat, add the cooked

  22. bacon, cream and lemon juice. Reheat until just warm. Do not let

  23. the mixture boil! Garnish with parsley and serve with noodles or dumplings.
