  2. 3/4 cup 148g / 5 1/5oz Sugar

  3. 6 tablespoons 90ml Cocoa - divided

  4. 2 teaspoons 10ml Baking powder

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Milk - skim

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Canola oil

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla extract

  9. 1 cup 160g / 5.6oz Brown sugar - packed

  10. 1 3/4 cups 414ml Hot water

  1. Recipe Instructions In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Spread in an un-greased 9-inch square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all; do not stir. Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired. Serving Ideas : Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream
