  2. 1 (5-oz) container refrigerated chopped onion s

  3. 1 (12-oz) bag refrigerated fresh apple slices

  4. 1 c unsweetened apple juice

  5. 3/4 tsp salt

  6. 1/4 tsp black pepper

  7. 4 ( 1/4-lb) boneless, center-cut pork loin chops, trimmed

  1. To make the apple-onion sauté, heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring frequently, until crisp-tender, 2-3 minutes. Add the apples and cook, stirring occasionally, until they begin to brown, 4-5 minutes. Add the apple juice and bring to a boil. Cook until the mixture is slightly thickened, 3-4 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat; stir in ¼ teaspoon of the salt and ⅛ teaspoon of the pepper.

  2. Sprinkle the pork with the remaining ½ teaspoon salt and ⅛ teaspoon pepper.

  3. Spray a ridged grill pan with nonstick spray and set over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the side of each chop register 160°F, about 4 minutes on each side. Serve at once with the apple-onion sauté.
