  1. 1 loaf frozen white bread dough

  2. 3 tablespoons butter

  3. 1/2 cup diced onion

  4. 2 cups mashed potatoes (2-3 small to medium potatoes)

  5. 1 (8-oz) package shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  1. Thaw bread dough in refrigerator overnight. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a jelly-roll pan or cookie sheet. Place butter in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Place mashed potatoes in large bowl. Add shredded cheese and onion-butter mixture; beat well. Pat or roll bread dough out to fill jelly roll pan. Spread the potato mixture over 1/2 of the loaf. Fold the loaf over and seal all the edges. Allow to rest for 15 minutes. Bake for 35 minutes, until top is nicely browned.
