  1. 1 1/4 cups 78g / 2.8oz Flour - all purpose

  2. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  3. 4 tablespoons 60ml Butter - sweet, cold cut up

  4. 3 tablespoons 45ml Shortening - cold

  5. 3 tablespoons 45ml Water - ice The Filling

  6. 3 Eggs - beaten

  7. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  8. 1/2 cup 164g / 5.8oz Light corn syrup

  9. 1/2 cup 164g / 5.8oz Dark corn syrup

  10. 1/3 cup 65g / 2 1/3oz Butter - melted unsalted

  11. 2 tablespoons 30ml Bourbon

  12. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  13. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Pecans - chopped

  1. Recipe Instructions 1. Crust - Place flour, sugar and salt in bowl of food processor. Pulse just to combine. Add butter and shortening. Pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. With machine running, slowly pour in water. Process just until mixture begins to come together. Gently press dough into a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. On a lighly floured surface, roll out dough to fit a 9 in. plate. Place dough in plate and trim, crimp edges.

  3. Preheat oven 375F.

  4. FILLING Whisk together the eggs, sugar, corn syrups, butter, bourbon and salt. Place the pecans in the bottom of the pie plate. Pour the filling over the pecans. Bake until set, about 35-40 minutes.
